Growing up in South Wales Joe learnt to fly as an Air Cadet aged 19. Following a serious road traffic accident in 1998, he gained his private licence through Flying Scholarships for Disabled and qualified as a commercial pilot in South Africa in 2004. After a short break from aviation, he began working as a flight instructor in 2011. Most recently, he was Chief Flying Instructor at Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training on the south coast.
Joe has had a passion for aviation from a young age. Having the ability to share this with others is an incredible privilege and he believes his sacred calling.
Emma was also called to help others from a young age and, after some consideration, decided to enter the field of medicine. She qualified as a doctor in 2001 and now specialises in anaesthesia. She has been working as a locum consultant at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Jo and Emma met in 2007 and married in 2009. They have always lived in Bristol and have two wonderful children.
Joe and Emma are based in Mareeba, Australia.
